Ribuan Warga Manokwari Hadiri Syukuran dan Natal Senator Filep Wamafma

MANOKWARI, JAGAPAPUA.COM – Ribuan warga didalam kota Manokwari menghadiri Syukuran dan Natal Anggota Dewan Perwakilan Daerah (DPD) Republik Indonesia Dr. Filep Wamafma, SH., M.Hum., C.L.A di kediaman Kampung Susweni, Distrik Manokwari Timur, Kabupaten Manokwari, Papua Barat, pada Sabtu (21/12) malam.

Acara syukuran dan natal tersebut sekaligus menjadi ajang tatap muka dengan warga Manokwari yang sudah berhasil memilih senator itu menjadi satu dari tiga anggota DPD RI asal Papua Barat untuk massa periode 2019-2024.

Ibadah syukuran dan natal itu dipimpin oleh Pendeta Sadrak Simbiak, ST juga ditandai dengan puji-pujian dan sekaligus pembakaran lilin natal.

Ketua panitia Syukuran dan Natal Frengky Wambrauw, SH mengatakan, undangan yang diberikan kepada warga Manokwari sebanyak 2000 lebih, namun warga Manokwari yang datang melebihi target hingga hampir 3000 orang.

Wambrauw mengaku, sampai tim kerja yang dipercayakan menjadi panitia harus cadangkan tempat duduk bagi tamu yang hadir. Hadir dalam acara itu tidak saja masyarakat pendukung Filep Wamafma, namun tamu dari birokrat Pemda Manokwari dan Provinsi Papua Barat turut hadir.

Tidak hanya itu, keluarga senator Filep Wamafma dari kabupaten Biak Numfor dan Supiori, Papua, turut mengambil bagian. Menurut Wambrauw bahwa kehadiran warga Manokwari pada acara itu sekaligus merindukan kebersamaan Filep Wamafma untuk langsung tatap muka.

“Sejak dilantik pada 1 Oktober 2019 lalu bapa Filep Wamafma tidak bisa berjumpa dengan simpatisan di Papua Barat lantaran kesibukan dan tanggung jawab negara kepadanya sangat padat, maka momen Natal ini yang tepat untuk tatap muka” ungkap Wambrauw, Minggu (22/12).

Di kesempatan itu, kata Wambrauw, Filep Wamafma juga menyediakan penghargaan berupa sertifikat DPD RI kepada Koordinator wilayah kerja Jas Merah di kabupaten Manokwari.

Sementara dalam sambutannya ke hadapan ribuan tamu undangan, Dr. Filep Wamafma, SH., M.Hum menyampaikan terima kasih kepada seluruh masyarakat Manokwari secara khusus, tapi juga warga Papua Barat pada umumnya bahwa sudah memberikan amanat rakyat kepadanya sehingga bisa duduk di parlemen DPD RI.

Di kesempatan itu, Filep Wamafma mengaku bahwa setelah dilantik ia dipercayakan lembaga negara itu dengan sejumlah tanggung jawab besar, salah satunya sebagai ketua panitia khusus Papua DPD RI untuk melakukan langkah-langkah penyelesaian masalah Papua.

Tanggungjawab lainnya adalah menjadi bagian dari Koordinator Legislasi daerah DPD RI. Terutama untuk kerja Pansus Papua DPD RI sesuatu yang sangat berat untuk mencari keadilan kepada rakyat Papua dan untuk kedamaian tanah Papua.

Oleh sebab itu, Filep berharap seluruh rakyat Papua mendukung dalam tugas ini, sebab tanpa dukungan rakyat Papua kerja Pansus Papua akan sia-sia. (tim/jagapapua.com)
