STIH Manokwari Lepas 42 Calon Wisudawan

MANSEL, JAGAPAPUA.COM – Ketua Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Hukum (STIH) Manokwari, Dr. Filep Wamafma, SH.,M.Hum secara resmi mengembalikan 42 orang mahasiswa calon wisudawan/wisudawati STIH Manokwari kelas Momi Waren Kabupaten Manokwari Selatan kepada orangtua melalui acara yudisium bagi mahasiswa/i angkatan ke-XXXVII (37) tahun akademik 2020/2021.

Pengembalian calon wisudawan/i kepada orangtua dan pemerintah daerah dilaksanakan melalui rapat senat terbuka di kampus STIH kelas Momi Waren pada Sabtu (11/12) pagi. Acara yudisium disaksikan oleh pejabat senat STIH Manokwari dan Bupati Manokwari Selatan, Markus Waran, ST dan Kapolres Mansel serta orangtua calon wisudawan/i. 

Dalam sambutannya, Filep Wamafma menyampaikan ucapan selamat bahwa 42 orang calon wisudawan/i di STIH Manokwari kelas Momi Waren resmi menyandang gelar Sarjana Hukum (SH) yang sudah diberikan melalui tahapan dan proses di STIH Manokwari.

Menurut ketua STIH Manokwari, empat tahun mahasiswa/i telah dititipkan oleh orangtua untuk mendaftar dan mempercayakannya kepara dosen dan civitas STIH Manokwari guna membina mereka dengan ilmu hukum. Karena itu, secara resmi pula mereka harus dikembalikan ke tengah keluarga, lingkungan masyarakat dan pemerintah daerah melalui acara yudisium ini.

Kata Filep, calon wisudawan/i sudah berhasil menyelesaikan Pendidikan sarjana hukum. Harapannya, ilmu tersebut dapat diimplementasikan untuk kehidupan pribadi, keluarga dan membantu masyarakat serta pemerintah dalam bidang hukum.  

“Orangtua melahirkan anda dengan nama yang sudah tertera dalam keluarga, namun di saat ini STIH Manokwari juga memberikan gelar tambahan kepada kalian semuanya yaitu sarjana hukum. Untuk itu, gunakan gelar sarjana hukum untuk melayani orang yang membutuhkan dan membantu pemerintah daerah Mansel” pesan ketua STIH. 

Dalam kesempatan ini, Filep menyampaikan rasa hormat dan terima kasihnya kepada pemerintah Manokwari Selatan yang sudah membantu STIH selama ini dengan pelayanan Pendidikan, terutama memberikan bantuan kepada calon wisudawan/i saat ini.

“Setelah mendapat gelar sarjana hukum, maka diharapkan anda harus menjaga nama baik almamater STIH, sehingga jangan sampai kalian merusak jati diri anda sebagai seorang sarjana hukum, sebab anda mendapat gelar sarjana melalui tahapan dan proses yang panjang” ungkap Filep.

Ia pun berpesan kepada para mahasiswa/i yudisium untuk tetap rendah hati dan tidak berhenti mencari ilmu pengetahuan. Menurutnya, tahapan yudisium adalah salah satu tahapan dalam formalitas Pendidikan, namun belajar tetap harus menjadi kebiasaan sampai kapanpun.

Lebih lanjut, Filep berpesan kepada para mahasiswa untuk tetap mengingat jasa orang-orang yang telah menyumbangkan keringkatnya demi lulusnya para mahasiswa/i terutama orangtua mereka sendiri. Tak lupa, peran pemerintah Manokwari Selatan melalui kepemimpinan Bupati Markus Waran yang peduli terhadap Pendidikan sehingga bisa memberikan bantuan bagi mahasiswa/I tersebut.

Di samping bantuan pemerintah daerah, STIH Manokwari juga memberikan bantuan beasiswa kepada sebagian calon wisudawan/i. Dengan demikian, Filep mengingatkan agar mahasiswa senantiasa mensyukuri segala kemudahan dan bantuan yang telah didapat.

Sementara itu, Bupati Manokwari Selatan, Markus Waran, ST menyampaikan kepada para mahasiswa yang diyudisium untuk  menjaga nama baik almamater.

Ia juga mengucapkan terimakasih kepada STIH Manokwari khususnya kelas STIH Momi Waren yang sudah berkontribusi besar mencetak SDM (sumber daya manusia) sarjana hukum di Manokwari Selatan.
