Cegah Varian Omicron, Pemerintah Perketat Pintu Masuk Negara

JAKARTA, JAGAPAPUA.COM - Menyikapi perkembangan penyebaran Varian Omicron (B.1.1.5.2.9) yang telah terdeteksi di 13 negara dan ditetapkan oleh Badan Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) sebagai variant of concern, pemerintah memutuskan untuk memperketat ketentuan kedatangan pelaku perjalanan dari luar negeri.

Hal tersebut disampaikan oleh Menteri Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, dalam keterangan pers yang disampaikan secara virtual, Minggu (28/11/2021) malam.

“Sampai dengan hari ini ada 13 negara sudah mengumumkan bahwa mereka sudah mendeteksi/confirmed dan probable cases Varian Omicron ini di negara mereka dimulai dari Afrika Selatan dan Botswana. Varian Omicron ini sudah ditemukan di antaranya di Jerman, Belgia, Inggris, Israel, Australia, dan Hong Kong,” ujar Luhut.

Melihat distribusi negara-negara tersebut, imbuhnya, tidak menutup kemungkinan bahwa varian ini sudah menyebar ke lebih banyak negara lagi. Terkait hal tersebut, pemerintah memutuskan untuk melakukan pelarangan masuk bagi WNA yang memiliki riwayat perjalanan selama 14 hari terakhir ke sebelas negara, yaitu Afrika Selatan, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Mozambique, Eswatini, Malawi, Angola, Zambia, dan Hong Kong.

“List dari negara-negara tersebut bisa bertambah atau berkurang berdasarkan evaluasi secara berkala yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah,” ujar Luhut.

Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI) yang memiliki riwayat perjalanan dari 11 negara tersebut diizinkan masuk ke Indonesia dan akan dikarantina selama 14 hari. Sedangkan bagi WNI dan Warga Negara Asing (WNA) yang datang dari negara-negara selain yang masuk di dalam daftar akan dikarantina selama 7 hari.

“Akan diberlakukan mulai 29 November 2021 Pukul 00.01,” imbuh Menko Marves.

Selain pengetatan pintu masuk, lanjut Luhut, pemerintah melalui Kementerian Kesehatan (Kemenkes) juga akan meningkatkan pelaksanaan genome sequencing terutama untuk kasus-kasus positif dengan riwayat perjalanan dari luar negeri.

“Masyarakat tidak perlu panik dalam menyikapi Varian Omicron ini. Pemerintah telah mengambil langkah-langkah pengetatan kedatangan dari luar negeri dan akan meningkatkan aktivitas genome sequencing untuk mendeteksi Varian Omicron ini,” ujarnya.

Luhut menegaskan bahwa kebijakan pemerintah ini diambil setelah mendapat masukan dari para ahli epidemiologi yang dari waktu ke waktu menjadi mitra pemerintah dalam membuat keputusan terkait penanganan COVID-19 di tanah air.

“Langkah-langkah pengetatan perbatasan dan kedatangan dari luar negeri ini diambil pemerintah sebagai langkah waspada untuk mencegah/menghambat Varian Omicron ini masuk ke Indonesia. Kebijakan-kebijakan ini dapat dievaluasi kembali ketika pemahaman kita terhadap Varian Omicron ini bisa lebih baik melalui penelitian-penelitian yang sedang berjalan saat ini,” tegasnya.

Menutup keterangan persnya, Menko Marves kembali mengingatkan semua pihak untuk tetap disiplin dalam penerapan protokol kesehatan yang didukung oleh implementasi PeduliLindungi guna mencegah meningkatnya kasus COVID-19.

“Disiplin protokol kesehatan yang akhir-akhir ini mengalami penurunan dibandingkan bulan-bulan sebelumnya, kami mohon sekali lagi supaya kita semua saling mengingatkan bahwa pemakaian masker, pencucian tangan, jaga jarak, dan juga vaksinasi itu betul-betul harus kita patuhi,” pungkasnya. (rls)
